Didn't go to the main park, just the surroundings, too old and have wobbly knees to trek. Though the water is still pristine, the area is beginning to become dirty as evidenced by the number of plastic thrash and utensils left by campers. When can we learn to leave nothing but footprints in such a natural wonder for everyone to enjoy?
Quite a pleasant experience visiting this place last January 2023. We were only able to visit 2 caves because we went there already late. We also were not able to swim in the stream because the water was still murky due to continuous rains days prior to our visit.
The local guide was quite friendly and very conversational which was good specially for first timers. According to the guide, if we want to swim, there should at least be 5 days of no rain prior to the visit so that the stream will be clearer. Definitely will return to explore more sites.
First of all, the current google map for this is wrong as the actual site of the national park is at least 30 minutes away from this location and is at San Miguel Bulacan.
Second, we had a good time in the park and we added the tour to the bat cave.
I saw from other reviews that some guests are complaining about the secondary rate fee for the additional tour which I believe is fair as the base rate for the tour guide for the basic tour is very cheap at 300 pesos only. So therefore if they will need to spend more time with you, they need to earn extra income which I find to be very very reasonable at current inflation.
I am sure the place will even look great if you go there during rainy season or after a heavy rain so that the river will be flowing with more water.
Overall, we are very glad to have visited a historical site.
Looking for a spelunking and eco-adventure vibe? This is the place to be. Prep your feet for steep climbs and rocky steps. Be also amazed by the historical background and ecological importance of the place.
The place itself is really beautiful giving it a - 5 since I'm a nature lover.
But what went wrong was how they manage of having a lot fees just by going to different caves.
(Entrance fee. Tour guide fee. Parking fee. Going to the other caves fee) Was surprise that going to the other caves have fees too.
Plus the tour guide was in a hurry. Thought she was in a hurry because we will have a lot of area to visit but no 😟. Other tour guides are not approachable too.
Still had fun though coz of the place.
Another biking destination. Beautiful scenery and the place is serene. A must visit place if you're a nature lover.
The national park was re-opened to visitors 3rd quarter 2022. Activities are nature tripping, trekking on the foothills and swimming,
Guides available at the registration area. Entrance to the is P5 per person.
It is where Emilio Aguinaldo established his headquarters during the war. It is well preserved historical place. We had a short trek with my family & fur friend and it was fun. Along the path you will pass through rivers, caves & waterfalls.
